Meet The Experts
SUBWAY Restaurant DieticianLanette Kovachi, MS, RD has served as the Corporate Dietitian for the SUBWAY® brand for eight years. In this important role, she oversees the nutritional information for all SUBWAY® menu items and advises the Headquarters team on nutrition and health related issues.

JJ Virgin, Certified Nutrition SpecialistCertified Nutrition Specialist JJ Virgin serves as the nutritionist for the Dr. Phil Ultimate Weight Loss Challenge and was featured as part of The Extreme Team on ABC’s Extreme Makeover season finale. JJ has had nutrition and lifestyle coaching practices in Rancho Mirage, Ft. Lauderdale, Dallas and Beverly Hills for many years. She also worked with Brandon Routh as he prepared for his starring role as Superman in the movie Superman Returns.

Tony Renaldi, Competitive Natural BodybuilderTony Renaldi is a competitive natural bodybuilder and has served as a private personal trainer for seven years. Tony will bring fitness tips to www.subway.com on a regular basis as a way to help anyone interested in fitness, from the novice to the advanced. As well as an award winning power lifter, Tony was recently runner up at the 2007 Mr. Connecticut bodybuilding championships. He is ranked as a 2nd gup in Tang Soo Do Mi Guk Kwan. Tony handles a wide array of clients; old, young, reconditioned, overweight and athletes.

Research shows that if kids learn sports when they are young they are more active as adults. Expose them to as many different sports as you can so that they can find the ones they like the most. Parents are the best role models for their kids so plan activities that you can do with your child like catch, shooting hoops, ping pong, hiking, biking, roller-skating or kicking soccer balls. It’s a great two-for-one; you will spend some quality time with your kid and both of you will get some exercise!
