Meet Lanette Kovachi

Corporate Dietitian, SUBWAY® Sandwich Shops

Lanette Kovachi, MS, RDN has been instrumental in guiding suppliers and culinary development on initiatives such as - reducing sodium in the Subway menu choices, fortifying menu items with whole grains and removing artificial trans fat and high fructose corn syrup. She manages all the nutritional information that is available to customers all over the world. Lanette has been a member of the global Subway team for 15 years.

Lanette was a participant in the Connecticut Department of Health’s Obesity Prevention Project, The FDA Keystone Forum on Away-From-Home Foods: Opportunities for Preventing Weight Gain, and the CDC National Fruit and Vegetable Program Steering Committee.

Lanette is former president and fundraising chair of the Connecticut Dietetic Association and was a recipient of the Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year Award from the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

She is an original member of the National Restaurant Association’s Nutrition Executive Study group. She was a member of the New York City Department of Health National Sodium Reduction Initiative. Prior to joining the Subway® brand, Lanette worked for several years as a clinical and out-patient dietitian.
